Nonprofit Event Catering
in New York City

Unleash Joy through Genuine Hospitality™For more than 40 years, Great Performances has partnered with nonprofit organizations across New York City to produce events that inspire supporters and advance meaningful work. From high-profile galas to intimate donor gatherings, our teams bring together seasonal menus, thoughtful hospitality, and operational expertise developed through decades of experience.

Nonprofit events often carry complex program elements — from live appeals and award presentations to performances and stage cues. Our planners, chefs, and service teams work in coordination to support the rhythm of the evening so every moment unfolds smoothly and guests remain fully engaged. Supporting organizations that strengthen our communities has always been part of our work.

Supporting Mission-Driven Events

Mission-driven events require hospitality that supports both the cause and the experience of the evening.

We work closely with organizations to design events that respect budget priorities while delivering memorable dining experiences. Our teams coordinate food, beverage, staffing, logistics, and service so every element aligns with the event’s purpose — whether the goal is fundraising, community celebration, education, or stewardship.

Galas, Benefits & Large-Scale Fundraising Events

Fundraising events require careful orchestration and operational depth. We regularly produce large-scale nonprofit gatherings that welcome hundreds or thousands of guests while maintaining consistency, timing, and service quality.

These events often include multiple program elements, donor engagement moments, and complex venue environments. Our culinary, planning, and service teams work together to ensure the evening progresses smoothly from reception through program and final course.

Member Events, Community Programs & Smaller Gatherings

Many nonprofit relationships extend far beyond a single annual gala.

We support year-round programming for cultural institutions and nonprofit organizations across New York City, including member previews, exhibition openings, donor receptions, community programs, press events, and smaller stewardship gatherings.

These events call for hospitality that feels welcoming, adaptable, and attentive to the audience in the room.

Culinary at the Center

Food anchors the dining experience.

Our chefs take a seasonally driven, ingredient-led approach inspired by New York’s diverse foodways and the produce grown at our own organic Katchkie Farm in the Hudson Valley. Menus are designed to be inclusive, thoughtful, and appropriate for the scale and tone of each event.

Dietary preferences and cultural considerations are incorporated seamlessly so every guest feels welcomed and cared for.

Custom Design and Mission-Aligned Moments

Our in-house design studio collaborates with planners and chefs to create thoughtful visual elements that reinforce the purpose of an event.

From mission-driven displays and signage to curated food presentations and environmental design, these details help connect guests more deeply to the organization hosting the evening.
